PCG seized 2.1 million pesos worth of smuggled cigarettes in Dipolog City.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has seized approximately 2.1 million pesos worth of smuggled cigarettes at Galas Feeder Port in Dipolog City, yesterday, 20 February 2023. The confiscated goods, hidden inside rice bran bags, were detected with the help of the Coast Guard K9 Force. Moreover, the van (estimated market value of 1.2 million pesos) where the smuggled cigarettes were found was also turned over to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for further investigation and filing of appropriate charges.
